Elementary Camps
Quick Links
Our elementary camps, Overture and Intermezzo, are designed for students entering 4th or 5th grade with less than two years of experience playing their instrument. These camps focus on fostering a love for playing string instruments by developing good fundamental technique and building basic musicianship skills. Our staff are some of the best public and private strings teachers from the Lincoln area and have decades of experience working with young string students. Whether you're looking for a jump start into the LPS string curriculum or a fun summer music experience, our elementary camps are a great opportunity for your strings student!
Elementary SAIL camps are our longest running and most popular camps. Click here to see dates & locations for this year’s camps!

Start off right!
Students who attend Overture camp learn basic techniques for their instrument and build note reading skills while playing various styles of music. While Overture camp is open to all beginners, our curriculum is primarily designed to give students a head start before entering a strings programs at their school.
Build your skills!
Intermezzo camp builds on the skills students have learned and introduces concepts students will encounter during their second year playing their instrument. These students generally have completed the fourth grade strings curriculum with LPS and plan to continue in fifth grade, though other students with similar experience will enjoy this camp as well.
